Thanks Lynne, glad you liked the ideas, shared.

I’d argue that in essence, the movie “It Might Get Loud” (trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j28bjIHVB6M) is in fact, about design.

The development of different rhythms, sounds, and effects are all about the effort to create an emotional connection with the audience.

As was quoted in the trailer above:

“It’s very rare that he will use the same sound in 23 songs.”

“We’re all attempting to share something with another human being.”

Inspiration should come from many sources. It’s why I believe the design community needs to spend more time looking out into the world for inspiration and less time “navel gazing.”
